HOW TO PLAY

  1. Press Start Sync to begin a 45-second run.
  2. The left cursor follows your arrow exactly. On the right board, left and right are mirrored while up and down stay the same.
  3. A move that hits a wall or the edge pins that cursor in place while the other side can keep moving. Use those bumps to break symmetry.
  4. Dock both cursors on their target sockets at the same time to score. Every bump costs 0.7 seconds, so clean routing matters.

TIPS & STRATEGY

  • Remember the mirror: up and down move both cursors the same way, but left/right send the left cursor one way and the right cursor the opposite way. Plan moves that satisfy both targets at once.
  • Use walls and edges on purpose. A move that pins one cursor against a wall lets the other side keep advancing, which is the only way to break the mirrored symmetry and line both docks up.
  • Solve the harder board first in your head. Find which target needs the trickier route, then check that the same key presses also walk the other cursor toward its socket.
  • Avoid blind taps near walls. Every bump costs 0.7 seconds, and as your score climbs the boards add more walls and demand longer paths, so clean routing is worth more than raw speed.

ABOUT

Split Signal is a short coordination puzzle about controlling two linked systems with one input stream. Instead of moving each cursor separately, you learn when to let one side collide so the other can slide into place. Your best dock count is saved on your device, and the sharpest operators can post it to the global TOP 20 leaderboard.

FAQ

How do you play Split Signal?
Press Start Sync and steer two linked cursors with the arrow keys, WASD, or the on-screen buttons during a 45-second run. Dock both cursors on their target sockets at the same time to score a point.
What makes Split Signal tricky?
The right board mirrors your horizontal input, so left/right are reversed there while up/down stay the same. You have to think for both cursors with a single input stream instead of moving each one separately.
How does a run end and how is score counted?
Each round lasts 45 seconds and every successful double-dock adds one point. Bumping a wall or edge costs 0.7 seconds, and the run ends when the timer reaches zero.
Why would I deliberately run a cursor into a wall?
A cursor that hits a wall or the board edge stays put while the other side keeps moving on the next press. Using these bumps to pin one cursor is how you desync the pair and land both docks together.
Is Split Signal free to play?
Yes. Split Signal is completely free, runs in your browser with no install or signup, and your best dock count is saved on your device. The sharpest runs can also reach the global TOP 20 leaderboard.
