HOW TO PLAY

  1. Press Start Tuning to begin a 45-second calibration run.
  2. Each gauge has a target band. Tap + or - to adjust one channel, but every press also nudges the linked gauges.
  3. The live drift line keeps pushing values over time, so you need to react before all three slip apart again.
  4. Bring every channel into its target zone at the same time to score. Hitting the outer edge (0 or 9) causes a 1.5-second spike penalty.

TIPS & STRATEGY

  • Read the live drift line first. It pushes heat, phase, and flow every cycle, so plan your taps to counter where the values are heading, not just where they are now.
  • Account for the cross-coupling: every + or - press strongly moves the channel you tapped but also nudges its neighbors. Aim to land all three target bands at the same moment rather than perfecting one at a time.
  • Keep values away from 0 and 9. Slamming a gauge into either edge triggers a 1.5-second spike penalty and resets your combo, so leave yourself headroom.
  • Chase clean stabilizations to build combo. Drift speeds up as your score rises, so the longer you survive the faster you must react to keep all three channels locked.

ABOUT

Signal Temper is a short calibration puzzle about controlling a system that never sits still. Every input helps one channel but disturbs another, while a background drift keeps nudging the whole array off balance. Your best stabilized-set count is saved on your device, and the sharpest operators can submit it to the global TOP 20 leaderboard.

FAQ

How do you play Signal Temper?
Press Start Tuning and use the + / - buttons (or Q/W, A/S, Z/X on keyboard) to adjust the heat, phase, and flow gauges during a 45-second run. Bring all three channels into their target bands at the same time to score.
What makes Signal Temper tricky?
Every input is linked: a press helps the channel you tapped but disturbs the others, and a background drift keeps pushing all three off balance. You're tuning a system that never sits still.
How does a run end and how is score counted?
Each round lasts 45 seconds and you earn one point each time all three channels sit inside their target zones together. Hitting the 0 or 9 edge costs 1.5 seconds, and the run ends when time expires.
What does the live drift readout mean?
The drift line shows how much heat, phase, and flow will shift on their own each cycle. Reading it lets you pre-correct before the values slip apart again.
Is Signal Temper free to play?
Yes. Signal Temper is free, runs in your browser with no install or signup, and your best stabilized-set count is saved on your device. Top operators can submit their score to the global TOP 20 leaderboard.
