HOW TO PLAY

  1. Press Start Guard to begin a 45-second defense shift.
  2. Move the shield between the left, center, and right lanes by tapping a lane or using 1 2 3 / the arrow keys.
  3. Block incoming threats before they reach the reactor core. Heavy shards deal 2 damage, and ricochet threats switch lanes halfway down.
  4. You score for every block, build combo bonus on clean streaks, and the run ends when time expires or all three cores fail.

TIPS & STRATEGY

  • All three lanes share one shield, so don't chase every threat — read which lane has the nearest or most damaging incoming threat and commit there first.
  • Heavy shards deal 2 damage instead of 1, so prioritize blocking them over light drones when two threats arrive close together, especially toward a core that's already low.
  • Ricochet threats switch to an adjacent lane about halfway down the board, so watch for the jump and pre-position your shield to the lane they'll land in rather than where they spawn.
  • Build long block streaks to grow your combo bonus — extra points kick in every few consecutive blocks, so a clean streak is worth far more than scattered saves, but one hit resets the combo to zero.

ABOUT

Reactor Ward is a lane-defense arcade game about triage under pressure. You are not aiming or firing freely; instead, the challenge is reading which lane matters most right now and committing the shared shield before a weak core gets clipped. Your best blocked-threat count is saved on your device, and the strongest runs can enter the global TOP 20 leaderboard.

FAQ

How do you play Reactor Ward?
Start a 45-second defense shift, then move your single shield between the left, center, and right lanes by tapping a lane or using 1 2 3 / the arrow keys. Block each incoming threat before it reaches the reactor core in that lane.
What makes Reactor Ward tricky?
You guard three lanes with only one shield, so it's a triage game — you must constantly decide which lane matters most right now. Heavy shards hit for 2 damage and ricochet threats jump lanes mid-run, so the threat you started tracking may not be the one that hits.
How does a run end and how is score counted?
You score for every threat you block and earn combo bonuses on clean streaks. The run ends when the 45-second timer expires or all three reactor cores are destroyed, and your score is the total threats blocked.
What's the difference between the threat types?
Drones deal 1 damage and are worth 1 point, heavy shards deal 2 damage and are worth 2, and ricochet threats deal 1 damage, are worth 2, and switch to an adjacent lane partway down. Heavier and faster types appear as your score climbs.
Is Reactor Ward free to play?
Yes. Reactor Ward is free to play in your browser with no install and no signup. Your best blocked-threat count is saved on your device, and strong runs can enter the global leaderboard.
